Dr. Matthew T. Swanson DDS

Dr. Swanson attended the U.S. Air Force Academy prior to dental school. After graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2007, he completed a one-year residency (AEGD) at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida and then served as a general dentist at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.

He completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where his comprehensive training included dental implants, anesthesia, cleft palate procedures, maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, orthognathic surgery, pathology and TMJ surgery.  After completion of his residency, Dr. Swanson practiced in Wyoming prior to joining Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Fox Cities.

Dr. Swanson is a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He also holds active membership in the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Wisconsin Dental Association, and the Outagamie and Winnebago County Dental Societies.

In addition, Dr. Swanson is a member of the medical staff of ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah, ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton, and St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Dr. Swanson and his wife, Jethe, have two sons and a daughter. Outside of the office, he enjoys aviation, playing with his kids, hunting, hockey and snowboarding.
