Dr. Arthur C. HelgersonDr. Arthur C. Helgerson received his dental degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1969. He completed a rotating internship at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in 1970 and was then accepted into their residency training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He completed residency training in 1973. Following his training, he practiced oral surgery in Chicago with Dr. Benjamin Gans, the chairman of the oral surgery department at Michael Reese Hospital. Finally in 1974 Dr. Helgerson returned to his home, the state of Wisconsin, and began his practice in Appleton.

Dr. Helgerson is a Board Certified Oral Surgeon, meaning he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a member of the Wisconsin Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association. Dr. Helgerson is past president of the Outagamie County Dental Society and also a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesia. Dr. Helgerson has been honored with induction into the International College of Dentists as well as membership in the Pierre Fouchard Academy.

Dr. Helgerson is a member of the medical staff of Appleton Medical Center, St. Elizabeth Hospital and Theda Clark Medical Center. He is currently the medical director of the Center for Craniomandibular Disorders at St. Elizabeth Hospital. His clinical interests include orthognathic and reconstructive surgery, dental implants, removal of wisdom teeth, facial trauma, and the management of oral facial and temporomandibular joint pain and dysfunction.
